5 Tips from "Survivorman" Les Stroud

....well now - that was a wonderful read! I was really quite surprised. .... here are a couple of btw's in no particular order:

1. The better method to make a menstral pad would be to use BOTH the moss and the material - using the material as an outside liner and using the moss inside for absorbency. The moss used traditionally (called Sphagnum moss) also has astringent properties making it a very healthy choice for menstration and diapers.

2. The fish skin couldn't be used as a condom but the intestines of the rabbits could.

3. The very best way to stave off hypothermia and keep warm after getting wet would have been for them to get naked and share body heat.

4. The method for skinning the rabbit isn't quite correct but doesn't really matter.

5. The better way to get fresh water would have been to look for natural springs coming from the forest part of the island.

"What a fantastic read! A book full of sensuality, humour, intrigue and action. I loved it! I always knew survival had many erotic and exciting possiblities. Rowena Cherry proved it with Insufficient Mating Material!"
